My husband use to take alprazolam from time to time. He works very hard, in a big enterprise and he is constantly under pressure. I am worried if alprazolam may cause addiction. My husband says he feels better with alprazolame, but I am not so sure it is safe for him.

Alprazolame is anxyolitic. It is member of benzodiazepine group, and these drugs have wide therapeutic index. This means that it is not very easy to overdose with alprazolam. One who uses this drug should avoid alcohol.
It may cause oversedation, muscle weakness, confusion. And also changes in libido, your husband may lose interests in sex.
Suggest your husband yoga or badminton instead of anxyolitics.
