Hello! Can anybody tell me if soy protein shakes are fatting, so I should know whether to use them or not! I am already a bit overweight, and I honestly don’t need any more extra calories!Thx!!!!

Hi! I don’t think that soy protein shakes are fattening. As I recall it, a protein from soy sources can actually help the body burn fat by accelerating ones’ metabolism. But this only applies if you ingests reasonable amounts of iodine in the diet, from fish and seaweeds. Otherwise soy foods can slow down thyroid function, having the opposite effect. So, be careful with the stuff!!!
