Hi, Seroxat is one of the drugs that causes the most withdrawal symptoms when patients try to stop it. It is a powerful antidepressant. Prozac belongs to the same class of drugs and has been marketed as safe medicine, not causing dependence. Older drugs such as Valium and Ativan caused dependence, but this problem was supposed to be overcame by new generation of drugs. There are many complaints about it’s safety and occurrence of withdrawal symptoms. Most complaints are about sensations that feel like electric shocks in the head, dizziness, mood swings, upset stomachs and unpleasantly vivid dreams.
