Crying or Very sad
I think that i have had the worst experience with this surgery. This has been a nightmare and it just keeps getting worst.
I had my GB removed in April, it is now Aug. I have bad back pain that just doesnt want to go away. It started about to two weeks after surgery. Ive had Xrays, CT scan, 2 MRIs done and they cant find anything wrong. IM GOING CRAZY. dont know what to do. I was told that i would be out of work for 2 weeks. WE ARE GOING ON 5 MONTHS. Has anyone seen/heard of anything like this.........

I had my gallbladder removed in September. After about 3 weeks the pain returned as if I were having gallbladder attacks again. I was sent to a gastroenterologist who took blodd test, an upper GI, CT Scans, and a MRI, only to tell me that I have a kidney stone and a cyst in my kidney. He said it could be scar tissue or a nerve that got pinched during surgery. So now what, I am back again to my family doctor for a second opinion. I
really thought this was an easy surgery. But it isn't.

i had my gall bladder out approx 6 years ago and i still suffer with severe back pain, and pain as if i still had my gall bladder! My surgery was also the worst i have ever experienced (unfortunately i've been unlucky to have had a few) I to don't know what to do about it! I have not been to see anyone as i feel like a fool describing gall bladder pain when it has been removed!

i had the same thing happen and turned jaundice and the pain was unbearable-I also had many tests done and nothing was found-I collasped one day and was taken to the hospital-finally a GI found the problem-a stone was stuck in my bile duct and fell into a pocket that didn't show in the tests-had surgery that night and all is well

i am just past 3 weeks after gall bladder removal. What's up with this "mystery back pain"? i thought I was pretty much all fine and about 80% or better. But last few days my upper or maybe middle back on the right side is sore.

i saw 2 doctors today and they think it is just back muscle spasms. NOT A KIDNEY problem. I don't seem to have any urination problems or anything. no fever, no sickness etc. Maybe it is simply my back, but doesn't seem like anormal back pain.

meanwhile the surgey areas are a little sore and they were all cool the last week or so. Seems weird to me that the pain is sort of cycling back. I thought i was pretty much over it. I only used pain pills the first 3 days or so and felt improvement up until about 5 days or so ago.

Does it seem like the pain can fluctuate back in? I thought i was over pain.

the back seems the worst. it fgeels like about an inch or so just below my ribs on my right back area. Is this simalar to what you guys feel and the location?

it's not horrible- not like teh gall bladder was SOOOOOO bad. But this is painful. God i hope it's not my kidney. Docs...say nope. but man it hurts..could it be the liver itself?

thanks for any info

I HAD MY GALLBLADDER REMOVED ON 12/20/06. THE PAIN FROM THE OPEN SURGERY IS NEARLY OVER BUT, I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED SUCH SEVERE BACK PAIN IN ALL OF MY LIFE. MY DOCTOR THINKS I'M CRAZY. I'M GOING TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM TOMORROW MORNING. I'M GLAD TO OF FOUND THIS SIGHT SO I KNOW FOR MY OWN SAKE THAT I'M NOT CRAZY.

I had my gallbladder removed on 7/11/06 and wish I hadn't bothered. The initial recovery went ok but since then I have been suffering from severe back pain, initially lower down but now just under my ribs. I constantly feel bloated and my digestive system is all over the place one day constipation then the opposite. If I eat anything too rich I throw up and I am constantly suffering from heartburn. At times I'm scared to eat as it's not worth the hassle. I'm having to take painkillers every day and night to control the back pain and even they don't work sometimes. Has anyone else suffered these problems and do they get better.....
