Hi, I’ve been feeling depressed for some time. I had troubles with my job, constant stress etc. Also I fell back pain, for quite a while, my sister told me to go see a doctor about that. She also said that back pain can also be related to depression.

Back pain and depression can be related. If you are experiencing back pain that is not adequately treated, it can lead to depression. Pain makes it difficult to sleep which lead to exhaustion, and day after day, your condition gets worse, and then you start to feel depressed. But recent studies showed that also depression can lead to back pain, due to change in your everyday activities. If you work harder or because of your depression tend to sit in front of TV more than usual that could cause back pain. Some studies showed that you treatment should consist of both counseling and some exercises for your back pain. In addition, your doctor could, if necessary prescribe you some anti-depressant medication. Everything will work out just fine!
