back pain with bowel movement after gb sugery...

I had gall bldder sugery several weeks ago and ever since then it starts out with lower back pain then I hv a bowel movement! I take advil to alllevate the pain whats going on? Rolling Eyes

Have you been constipated ever since after the surgery? Have you been taking any other drugs than advil that could have caused constipation? If you have problems passing stool, then your back pain could be related to it.
I have had different problems after the surgery. I had abdominal cramps, nausea and bloating and it was awful. I had to put up with it.
Luckily, it didn’t last very long. It took a few months to subside but from what I heard some people suffer from these side effects called Postcholecystectomy syndrome for years.
I am not sure that back pain during BM would come into this group of disorders and side effects but you better have it checked with your doctor.
postcholecystectomy syndrome includes stomach upset, nausea, and vomiting, diarrhea, bloating, gas and the upper abdominal pain similar to the gallbladder attack pain. .
