i was diagnosed with honeymoon cystitis when i went to my obgyne. at first i felt burning sensation, bloody discharge that turns yellow, abdominal pain, painful urination. OB gyne gave me Metrodinozole for 7days oral. Pain still there so i went to another doctor and found out its bacterial vaginosis so she gave me cefalexin for 7days 3x a day and albothyl suppository for 3nights + urinalysis after medication. Results came in and i still have infection. I was not convinced so i went to another doctor after a wek only to find out that i have yeast infection already. I was prescribed with Metrodinozole suppository for 7days after that pap smear. I felt a little burning sensation but nodischarge and sometimes pain in abdomen but ttolerable.
My last sexual contact was 2 years ago bec. my husband was away for work. On our first day contact it was painful and i bleed. The next day i daw a yellow discharge and he becomes ill for awhile with stomach pain so i send him to see a doctor. He didn't disclose tome what the doctor says but he was given a medicine called ciprofloxacin telling me that its for Urinary Tract infection. He took it for 7days 2x a day. everything went well with him. My husband is alcoholic and he told me that this has something to do with UTI, prostate? i know he's not telling me the truth and its hard for me to trust him simply because i know i am clean. pls help. thanks |

Hi, wow have the Doctors given you the run around. Get another opinion and have a blood test for sexually transmitted diseases, yes ask for all of them.
If it was/is cystitis that would explain the burning when going to the toilet. other symptoms are wanting to go all the time.
Try wearing underwear that is only cotton, having showers after sex, eating natural yoghurt with all of the friendly bacterias, even putting yoghuurt on a tampon and inserting it, if you have been on lots of antibiotics you need the friendly bacteria now. Also get a drink from the chemist/pharmacist called URAL, or if you cant get this , get some bi carbonate of soda and mix it a spoon full in a glass of water, this will make your urinine alkaline rather than acid. Limit acid foods from your diet and see if this helps. |

blood test? urinalysis result from my 2nd doctor prior to this one said i do still have infection. and that scares me alot. I have sleepless nights and crying moments most of the time trying to figure out what really went wrong. couldn't tell my parents about this and noone to talk to except doctors.
we do testings here only if its with doctors recomendation. this are all new to me and i find it bizarre most especially if ur husband's still denying ( if there is something to confess).
il keep posted once i get back to my ob for pap smear. |

Try not to worry and cry, l am in Australia and we can get a blood test anytime if we request it. If your husband is denying anything bad, well you know him , but my belief is only ever trust anyone 95% and keep 5% in reserve.
It might just be a bacterial infection and not anything sexual, please do what l said re the yoghurt, etc, this is all natural and cant hurt to try.
Ask you Doctor tho, if he will give you a blood test to stop you worrying, as it seems as tho you have had quite a few different opions |

Let me know how you go at the Doctors, and if you are still worried, sometimes it is a lot easier to talk to someone you dont know. good luck and try not to stress or worry until you get a real result |

Thank you anika, i appreaciate very much your prayers . Yes l do understand exactly the problem your husband has , for obvious reasons hey. It is an addiction , and addictions do not make the person bad in anyway. It is a way of hiding from something you are emotionally lacking l think, something deep rooted .
The majority of people as soon as you say you are alcoholic or drug addict have visions of a complete loser, and do not realise that the addict fights this battle daily, and do not want to be addicted.
Addictions do not in anyway subtract from the persons intelligenance , human compassion.
I sympathise with anyone who has addictions, drugs or alcohol. |
