My kid has woken up with half of his face paralyzed! You could imagine our shock and terror when we saw him. Doctor's diagnose was bells palsy. We were so terrified; we felt such a relief when he told us that there is a great possibility of full recovery. My wife and I would still like to know about the bells palsy prognosis.
It all depends on the speed of recovery. If he starts recovering fast, in couple of weeks, he should be the way he was before. Unfortunately, if the improvement is slower, then there is a possibility of some residual effects. Still, for children, statistics say that they do recover well, much better then older people. Just follow doctor's instructions and your son should be fine.
