Hello! Bipolar II disorder is when a person had one or more depressive episodes accompanied by at least one hypomanic episode. Hypomanic episodes are similar to manic episodes but are less severe. However, hypomanic episode must be clearly different from a person’s non-depressed mood. These episodes won’t cause any problems in social activities or at work, but may be troublesome. It is often misdiagnosed as depression.
