birth control to correct ovulation problems

I want to know if I can start using birth contol pills to help regulate my period, helping me to ovulate, then stop the birth control pills will that help me to get pregnant?

Birth control pills prevent ovulation - the monthly
"period" you have while on them is simply a withdrawl bleed.. there is no egg being flushed out of the system. So I am unsure if this would help your body ovulate once you come off it. Some women even report that once coming off birth control, it takes up to 6 months to regain a normal period.
