bladder infection or cancer

I have had chronic bladder infections for at least 2 years. This time I have had it the worst ever. It’s been three weeks and none of the antibiotics seem to be working. I have white blood count of 500. I have friends with experience in cancer & think I should seek immediate attention. Should I just because of my blood count? I am booked to see a specialist and have an ultrasound, but not right away.
