blader surgery and e coli

i had bladder surgery in 2003, and after that i kept getting bladder infections and no one could tell me what the problem was. my infectious disease doc told me that it was e-coli. i then developed these pockets on my bladder and they thought that it would get rid of the uti's but it did not. i then had a second surgery. i now am livivng with an e-coli infection for life. i take keflex once a day for life and still no one can tell me how this has happened. my urine at times has a horrible smell that i can't stand myself. i get an vaginal itch and there are times i can't hold anything on my stomach but liquids, no meat will stay when the infection has flared up. what do you think?
