|

| I had my regular period on may 23. I am on birth control, low ogetsral, and have been for 5 months. I"ve have always had consistent normal cycles. 2 weeks later on june 5, i started bleeding again. It started light and only for a few hours in the morning, but on the 6 it came back all day and today is the 7 and im still bleeding. it doesn't seem as heavy as my normal cycle so it may just be normal spotting, but this has never happened to me before. I read in another post that doctors usually say to wait 3 months to see if its transient, so is this normal spotting? Or should I be more concerned. How long does spotting usually occur for? |

Hi,
Abnormal bleeding from the vagina or indeed anywhere should be looked at by a GP.
In saying this, it could be the pill causing spotting as it is one of the more common symptoms but given that you've been on it for 5 months, it is a little bizarre it's only just started, or it could be something more serious.
Bottom line is, you simply have to get it checked out, maybe the pill isn't for you and a much more safer, more protective method is out there for you...such as a CONDOM!!
This is far better at protecting as it also protects form those horrible STD's!!!!
I'll refer you to this page which has info on your pill...see your GP as well..
