bleeding after sex.

i started my period last thursday, and it's now the following sunday. my period usually ranges from 5-7 days, and it had finished on wednesday.
my boyfriend and i just had sex and i went to the bathroom afterwards and i was bleeding again.
it wasn't the normal dark brown blood that i spot after my period, it was like i was starting my period all over again. i cleaned up and it didn't bleed after that.

i'm not sure if we just had overly rough sex or if there are cysts or polyps i should be worrying about.
the period before my last one was extremely heavy and caused me to go home from school which has NEVER happened before.

anybody know what's going on?
some advice would be extremely appreciated.

He probably just knocked some lose in there. tell him to take it easy next time after your period. Your uterus just got done shedding its liner and is tender so he probably just upset it a little bit. if you keep bleeding i would go see a doctor. one time my ex boyfriend bruised my uterus from pushing too hard and i bleed a table spoon of blood a day for about 3 months.
