|

| I am 41 and in the last two months have experienced slight bleeding and brownish discharge between periods...then when I have my period, it is foul and strong smelling...never used to be like this....I have not had sex in almost a year, but could it be an infection? Could it be the start of menopause...or something worse?? Please help...nervous!!![/b] |

It could be the beginning of menopause. Do you have the smelling even if your period is not pregnant? That would indicate an infection.
Breakthrough bleeding could be from premenopause, ovarian cysts, uterine fibroids, etc.....or some kind of an infection and I would suggest you saw a gyn and had that checked. |

See your doctor straight away, anything else can only lead to assumptions. See your doctor and whatever it is you will treat |
