Vaginal bleeding may vary from light spotting to severe bleeding with clots. It can be seen in early pregnancy, complicating pregnancy in rate of 20-30%. Later on, if any bleeding develops fetus is in danger of abnormal development. Bleeding from the vagina after the 28th week of pregnancy is an emergency.
