Hi, I had what I thought was my period, after not getting it for 60 days, I am 47. Well I had heavy bleeding with large clots it went on for approx 27 days. I went to my ob-gyn and she said it wasn't my period. The the uterus walls were too thick and something about my hormones and being perimenopausal ??? She put me on Provera 10 mgs for 10 days. I have taken them for 4 days. Does anybody know how they work?? When do you start bleeding??? After you take them for the 10 days?? Any info would be great~~~~~Thanks Rolling Eyes

Provera is used to stop hormone imbalance that causes abnormal bleeding. Five to 10 milligrams for 5 to 10 tens is the recommended dosage, so when you get off it, ideally, things should be fine.
