blockage of right artery?

How serious is the blockage of right artery? I ask this for my father. He had a CT scan done and doctors said that he probably had a heart attack some time ago, around two years. The problem is with his right corony artery. They said that it is one hundred percent dead but that his left one will compensate. Isn't there a possibility of bypass or something like that to help him?

Well, when you think about it, there is no much point in bypassing already dead tissue, we would not gain anything. But, I assume that they have examined well the remaining left artery to see if there is not any blockage. They say there is not, so that one should do the good job in feeding the heart. I assume that he is already taking some medications to help him with his heart problems.
