blood in stool, cramps. nausea, chills, won't eat

My fiancee' has been having bad abdominal cramps for the past three days. He goes to the bathroom eight times to try and have a bowel movement. He has started to notice that their is blood in his stool. He thinks that he is just having trouble getting oiut a hard stool. He has nausea and the chills. I cannot get him to eat, he says he just does not feel like he can. What could it be? Should he go to the Dr.?

you may want to check the doctor. He may have a pollup in his large intestine.
