bloody diarrhea alcoholism

I am 60. I'm a recovering -- most of the time -- alcoholic. I've been one for most of 25 years. I fell of the wagon this weekend and drank about a quart of vodka with fruit juice. Yesterday March 5th, I started to have bloody stools with diarrhea. I did not pass much stool and sometimes felt constipated. However, the bleeding, which is not severe, is constant, even when I'm not having a bowel movement. I am now keeping a paper towel against my anus. The blood is red or pink, not occult. I am in the Eastern US time zone and don't know how far off that is from GMT. Please help.

If I were you I would see a doctor right away or go to a walk in clinic. This could very well be linked to your long term alcohol abuse or it may not. Regardless alcohol wipes out your body of it's important nutrients and ability to metabolize them making you at a much greater risk for any problems or infections.
You need to see a professional about the problem you are currently having a face recovery with a deeper approach. This has gone on too long and the negative impacts and possibilities for your body will only get greater.
