Does the bleeding occurs during bowel movements or spontaneously? If there's just bleeding without apparent cause, then you should definitely have this checked!!!!

It is probably hemorrhoids. However, it would be wise to have this checked if the bleeding is significant because any internal bleeding would show itself through bleeding from rectum.

Do you have any other strange symptoms or problems? Male or female?

Was this after a bowel movement? If so you might have an internal hemorrhoid. Go get it checked out. It is better you did than wait.

What can help is washing your bottom after every bowel movement and eating foods that enable smooth BM's like green vegetables and fruit.

You could also ask in the pharmacy what you could use for treating hemorrhoids. Maybe they could suggest a cream or suppositories but I suppose it would be best if you saw a doc to determine what kind of hemorrhoids these were.
