I was talking with very good friend of mine and we realized we have the same problem. This is decreased libido, and we are both very much worried about this. However, in one article we read the solution could be testosterone boost. Now we are wondering if testosterone therapy could help us. Could you tell us more about boost testosterone and its risks?

That is true what you have read, because testosterone will work to increase a woman's sex drive. However, some other treatments should also be looked into because testosterone therapy has some risks as you already guess. If decreased libido is of concern to a woman, she should explore the causes with a doctor. This should definitely be done before jumping into testosterone boost therapy. Testosterone boost is only prescribed for decreased libido due to menopause, not in other cases. It is also only used in short term and should not be considered a permanent solution. This is because little research has been done to confirm its effectiveness or safety in women. Side effects of boost testosterone include facial hair growth and acne. Weight gain and liver damage could also result, although since the testosterone used in this therapy is a low dosage. Women with elevated levels of testosterone also have higher blood pressure and increased risk of heart disease, so all this should be considered before your doctor choose boost testosterone as a therapy for decreased libido.
