I have been breastfeeding my twins for almost 4 months now, and approx 6 times I have had a very sharp feeling in my chest that lingures into my back lasting about 15 min. I called my Dr. and they think it is pleurisy, because I am dehidrated from nursing............does this sound right??

Most often, pleurisy is the sign of an underlying condition. The main symptoms that indicate pleurisy chest pain that starts suddenly. It usually subsides or disappears between breaths.
Do you have any other problems beside chest pain like shallow breathing or have you developed fever maybe?
If it’s causing you too much discomfort, you should go and see a doc for a pain management, something that won’t interfere with nursing. That way you can make sure it is pleurisy.

It is true that some cases clear up by themselves but you could also develop problems with lungs that could impair your breathing ability by causing fluid build up in the lungs.

You could certainly use rest and enough sleep but i don't think that's possible with two babies, is it?

What did the doc say you should do beside drink fluids?
