I really hope that you might help me out with my health problems. What is troubling me is brittle hair and falling out with excessive weight loss? What could that be? I have been having these problems for almost a month but that was not so intensified in the beginning, but I am really worried now. My friends at work said that I might have Grave disease. Is that possible?

Well, it is known that Graves's disease can affect hair and induce excessive weight loss. But, we are forgetting two main symptoms of this condition: goiter (enlarged thyroid gland) and exophthalmos (eye protuberance). Only if you have these signs you can be sure that you have this illness. But, weight loss and hair loss are reasons good enough for you to see your doctor in next day or two.
