| My husband was recently diagnosed with bronchitis. He is a cigarette smoker, but not serious one, maybe 5, 6 a day. Still, he has coughing problems and also, wheezing sounds are heard in the morning. We have two little kids, 7 and 5 years old. Are they in any danger? How long does incubation period last? Is bronchitis airborne? Please, answer me. |

| Bronchitis incubation period is different in acute bronchitis and in chronic one. Incubation period in chronic one is about 15 days, and as far as we can tell, there are no exact number in acute one. This is because "reasons" for getting acute bronchitis are accumulated during years. There is no visible symptoms, so that illness cannot be stopped in its early stage, only when it is fully developed. It is air borne, so be carefull. |
