brown bleeding on period

i am 29 turning 30 in a few weeks. my period started with normal red blood for a day, and then for the remaining time it was brown. is this normal at my age? first thought was it is old blood, like at end of period. does your period change as you age?

I am 27 and my periods are also sometimes brown and clotty also black and clumpy i dont know if this is normal, does anyone else
