brown discarge bad cramping , pms , and, takeing herbal suplaments.

hi ive been exerincing brown discarge and bad cramping as if my period is going to start but is this my period or is period only when you bleed red? also ive been takeing chaseberry and other menstranal herbal suplements, since ive been takeing the suplements my cramps art bad but i havet bleed yet whould it be best to hold off on the suplemnets and wait it out? or is there something wrong with me?
