I had a hysterectomy in 2004 where they removed everything except my cervix. The last month or so, however, I've been having brown discharge that is clearly dried blood. I went to my GYN and had a pap smear, when I saw the q-tip it was covered with dried blood as well. He told me to return in 6 weeks and didn't seem to be overly concerned, but it does concern me as to why I could be bleeding and from where the blood would be coming from. Does the blood mean that I could have something wrong with my cervix or canal? I also have no libido anymore and sex is so painful I've given up on even trying to have it. My GYN did give me a new type of estrogen (Enjuva) to try and a script for vaginal creme I'm to use for 14 days, but I'm worried that putting anything inside might do damage to me, especially if there could be a problem.
Any advice as to what I could/should do would be lovely. I'm not sure if I should just wait for the pap results to come back and go from there, or if I should be more concerned than my GYN seems to be. Thanks for any help!
