brown spotting week after period normal?

None of the researches I've looked at applied to me..

I was wondering if it's normal for brown spotting a week after my last period?

Nothing hurts or itch...

Hi,
I have similar symptoms. My period ended exactly two weeks ago and last few days I've been having some pinkish/light brown discharge and some flakes falling out during urination (it wasn't all day long, only happened a few times).
Nothig did hurt or itch either. Although when I think about it, I do remember having some poky feeling a few times down there.
I don't know what to think. I took a home pregnancy test but it turned out negative. Of course, it has only been two weeks since my last period. Usually you are supposed to take those test one week after missed period.

gryffindor, your post was on Dec 19, 2006. Did you find out what was it you had? Did you miscarry or was that early pregnancy signs?

I have been having the same thing, exactly two weeks after my period, flakey and brown same deal. I had protected sex though so i really doubt im pregnant, Maybe its becuase we are in the middle of our cycle? mine only lasted one day for a few hours and has not returned since, we'll see in a few days but ive had many people tell me its probably because its old blood.

So, I finally got my period right on time, im really believing that it was just old blood that my body was discharging, but its still good to get yourself checked out especially if you miss your period!!
