It is probably just a pimple or an ingrown hair. When there are white heads, then they could be pimples and infected ingrown hairs if the white stuff can be squeezed. If the white stuff can’t be squeezed, it could be sebaceous prominence, which are blocked oil gland ducts. There are many oily glands in the scrotum and other parts of the skin. They produce sebum, oily substance that is carried on the skin surface through small ducts under the skin. Their function is to lubricate the skin and prevent it from becoming dry. When these ducts get blocked, the oily substance starts accumulating under the skin and if it has no place to get into the surface it causes these lumps.
So, if they are hard to squeeze they are probably sebaceous prominence also called sebaceous cysts. They are considered normal and there is nothing you can do about them.
I think that pimples form the same way but they are easily squeezed although not all the time and they are more likely to hurt but also are cysts that got inflamed. If it turned red, and painful, it is probably a zit and there even might be a hair stuck under it.
Try applying warm compresses on top of it for a few says to see if something happens, if it turns white, so you can squeeze it or of a hair appears.
If a hair appears to be visible, you can try taking it out with pincers but don’t poke and squeeze because you might infect it. It would be best if you saw an urologist or dermatologist, so that they could help you get rid of it…..whatever it is! |
