I have been hoarse for about 2 mos. The ENT scoped me and vocal cords seemed O.K.Started having burning between shoulders and in my lower neck about 3 weeks ago. Had chest e-ray and dye CAT..nothing abnormal..When I breath deep it hearts my back. A small amount of indigestion. Rest seem to help but after I have been up a few hours it starts again. Not much appetite. No problem swallowing ..Been taking Zegerid 40 mg twice a day..NOt much improvement but I do not know how long it takes to see improvement. Had endoscope 3 days ago but doc said esophogus looked O.K. He said there maybe be some acid in stomach and sent off biopsies..Can anyone help??? I am going nuts ..Snickers

I have exactly the same thing wrong- burning and itching on the shoulders, between the shoulders, sometimes more on left, it is exacerbated at night or upon sitting or lying down, and much worse if I scratch. I am 59 and have never had dry skin or skin allergies of any kind. This is making me crazy.....
