| I have the same symtoms that you do. Earlier this year my husband of 6 yrs had a vasectomy.... I was so happy that I was finally going to be able to get off the dreaded pill. I stopped taking the pill in 08/06 and had my period, shortly thereafter I had my first yeast infection. I went to the Doc and was cured.... so I thought. We made love and the yeast came back. I went to the Doc again and was cured a second time. Again, we made love and now I an really swollen, itchy, but no cottage cheese stuff. What is wrong with me. Will I ever be cured. |

| I have the same thing. My gyn just tested me for ureaplasmic urealyticum. It is a specific test. You have to ask for that test. The urine dip culture was negative but this culture grew this bacteria in the lab in a few days. Apparently it can be carried a long time with no symptoms maybe years?. Please ask your doctor. Also the antibiotics cause yeast infections. Good luck. |

| I have been suffering with Candida for a few years now and the culprit is antibiotics which i have to take when i get my yearly sinus infections...alas what is a girl to do when her doctor is getting sick of treating her! I am living abroad and so I feel i need a second and third opinion anyway, as the healthcare system isn't the greatest here...but i came across something on the web about doing a detox and then using a product of natural herbs to get rid of the fungus (once and for all!) Look up Vitacleanse and see for yourself. |

Ladies....The best thing to do for all of these problems, ie burning, yeast etc. I am a midwife and see this all the time. Stop drinking soda (even diet). Give up sugar (unless naturally occuring) for a month. Eat FRESH veggies and fruit, meat and eggs. NO MILK unless organic and only in moderation. If you can't eat fruit and veggies take Juice Plus capsules. Use as much organic foods as possible. Drink lots of water. In one month most of you will be healed up. If you can do some kind of cleanse, do it! NO FAST FOOD for one month.
Smile and Laugh you can get better with healthy foods!
For those of you on birth control pills or ring, consider a break for 3 months.[/b] |

I have a steady boyfriend who I am sexual active with. I know he is clean so I know i couldnt have an std from him. But i did cheat on him once and i thought that guy gave me something after i had had sex and i itched and burned and it hurt to urinate and i couldnt have sex it hurt soooo bad. i went to my doctor and got every test done & they all came back negative. I'm glad i'm not the only one this happens too, because it really scared me. Just if it happens again stay away from sex, make sure to take a shower daily and stay clean and it should be better within a week or 2. |

Posted: 02/04/07 - 04:37 Post subject: feels like paper cuts in vaginal area |
|
|
| Your saying feels like paper cuts in vaginal area caught my eye. Do you have enough lubrication upon insertion/intercourse. Years ago, with my first husband, I experience cuts/tears, and I strongly believe and my dr. did that it was from lack of sufficient lubrication. I hope this helps. I'm experiencing itching/burning and am reading posts. Just took a prescribed pill on Thurs. for yeast infection (called in/no exam), and it's still here, so I don't know what it could be. Any suggestions? |

Posted: 04/28/07 - 21:52 Post subject: Tough One |
|
|
Okay, here is a tough one. I started seeing a new PCP a few months ago who finally started doing something about my migraines. He put me on Topamax and set me up with a new GYN & Endocrinologist. The Topapax has helped the migraines, but has caused some changes (I haved dropped over 25 lbs.) & have been diagnosed with PCOS (Poly-Cystic Ovarian Syndrome). Last week my husband and I made love for the 1st time in about 2 mo. due to my have a decreased sex drive, and almost instantly, after we finished, I was in pain...like typical yeast infection symptoms. The only difference was the discharge is pink (bloody). This has NEVER happened before. I bought the best OTC treatment you can buy, and it has brought absolutely no relief what-so-ever.
Any thoughts? (BTW, I do take Ortho Tri-Previm & just finished a round of Keflex) |
