Hi! Recently I read in some magazine that caffeine is can be used for weight loss. Does caffeine really play a role in weight loss? Is caffeine an appetite suppressant?

Hi! Large amounts of caffeine may slightly enhance weight loss in people who exercise and maintain a low-fat diet. There's also no evidence that increasing caffeine intake alone has any effect on weight loss. Caffeine is appetite suppressant but this effect lasts only a very brief period, not long enough to lead to significant weight loss. Caffeine does act as a diuretic, which means it causes an increase in the amount of urine you excrete. This water loss may decrease your body weight. But it doesn't decrease body fat. Caffeine is a stimulant that can increase your heart rate and blood pressure, interrupt your sleep, and cause nervousness and irritability. Be careful with caffeine.

caffeine can increase metabolism, it has mild appetite suppresant effects.
its best taken as part of a "stack"
commonly stacked with ephedrine, the concerns over which are almost entirely hype and media slant. However some find ephedrine too stimulatory, but the "killer" image it has is not at all deserved.
Thermorexin is a well rounded caffiene based thermogenic that does not contain ephedrine.
Both are excellent options to stimulate metabolism, increase energy and suppress appetite. |

this is not entirely true.

if using ephedrine with caffiene be sure to use pure ephedrine hcl, adulteration with guaifenesin reduces adrenergic and metabolic potential.
Adding Green tea extract (standardized for EGCG) will increase metabolic rate, for EC, thermorexin or any other caffiene based stack (or caffiene alone) |
