can I sunburn to tan?

I have been to the beach and I have sunburns as consequence of my irresponsible behavior. I desire to have tan so badly that sometimes I have tendency to forget that sun can be bad for me. Tell me is it possible that when this sunburns go away I get the tan?

Well, the sunburn will pass eventually. I have very sensitive skin and I have sunburns frequently. Every time when the sunburn pasts I had the tan. The skin will go dark regardless you have sunburn or not, after the exposure to the sun. Of course, if your skin is peeling then the new skin will not be tan but fresh and pail.
