| I was involved in an auto accident last year, in which I was rear ended. The damage to the vehicle was minimal, however, I did hit the steering wheel and was very shook up and nervous. About an hour later, my right rib started hurting somewhat around to the right side of my thoracic region also. I did not hurt this way at all before, in the ribs. My right rib was bruised in the accident, according to the er dr. Since that time, my problems worsened and for months, was extremely swollen in the abdomen, and had frequent right rib pain. After several tests, it was found my gall bladder was so swollen it was perforating my liver. When it was removed, my right rib pain went away, as well as my swelling, etc. Could this have been caused by my auto accident, since that is when the symptoms began? |
