can implantation bleeding come so soon?

hi, i'm 19 and i have a question. I'm on here because my girlfriend and i are a bit worried. we had sex on saturday without protection, and she has very light bleeding today (wednesday). i've looked for answers, but almost all the sites i've looked at say that implantation bleeding occurs 10-14 days after conception. she has been feeling sick and her breasts were sore, but they are no longer tender. she has been going to the bathroom for a while, frequently, but she always has been, she's only 100 pounds, and she goes to the bathroom a lot anyway. she doesn't have any constipation, and she's not overly tired.

can it really be implantation bleeding after 4 days?

also: i had sex wit hher with a condom, and took a shower shortly there-after, then we had sex without protection. could the sperm still have been on me?

Implantation usually occures about 6 to 10 days after unprotected intercourse, and only a few women experiance this....It wouldnt be implantation bleeding this soon, it could be due to something else....She could have had breast tenderness if this is about the time of her ovulation or her period to start...

Sperm can live inside a womens body anywhere from 3 to 5 days 7 at the latest and wait for the egg to be released...If you took a shower and then had intercourse then no you wouldnt have any sperm on you.....

If you had intercourse less then 5 days ago and you are worried about pregnancy you could go to planned parenthood and get the morning after pill, Plan B but this must be taken within 5 days and the sooner you take it the better it will work....They are also avalable at the pharmacy as well in some places.....

when we had unprotected sex, i didn't finish at all... but theres still the chance of the cleaning fluid (pre-cum as some call it) coming out with sperm in it. i didn't feel anything come out, but i'm also aware that sometimes, you don't.

what are the chances of that happeneing, and what else could my girlfriend be bleeding from?

she has a home pregnancy test with her right now. if she took it, would there be a believable answer?

Your right you sometimes you cant really feel precum, control or stop it from happen...Precum does contain sperm and can cause pregnancy...Anytime that one has unprotected intercourse the chance is always there and most males do have a small amount of precum that they dont know about....
Some of the things that could cause unexplained bleeding could be, implantation bleeding (only a small amount of women experiance) cysts, ovarian tumors, irritation, old blood from a past period, and so on, the only way to know whats causing this is to see an obgyn and have tests done, just get a check up.....
The soonest that she could take a pregnancy test would be about a day or so before her next period, if this is neg, wait another week and retest just to be sure.....

she should be getting her period today, or any day now. and she just went to an obgyn and there was nothing wrong.

i also hear that it is sometimes the case that periods can stop under times of great stress... she's been stressed extremely lately, and this ordeal isn't helping, could that be/become a factor?

also: how long can old blood stay in her after her last period?

Yes stress can also be a factor, so if her period is late and her tests come out neg then she shouldnt have anything to worry about, since shes already gotten the all clear from her obgyn....
Old blood can offten stay until her next period, and then it usually flushed out when the new starts....Its a common thing and most women experiance this.....
I would still go ahead and take a pregnacy test just to rule it out, if its neg, wait another week and retest just to make sure.... Smile

so she should take it right now, and see what the results are?

if she truly is pregnant, is there a good chance it will show up posotive, or will it be more likely to show up negative?

also: is there enough hcg in her body after 4 or so days?

Well if its only been about 4 days then no the hcg levels wouldnt be high enough, you would then have to wait about 3 weeks and then take the test...but you had intercourse 4 days before her period then chances are shes already ovulated and she wouldnt be, usually ovulation will happen about 2 weeks or so before her period, this is to give it time for ovulation to occure fertilization to happen and then start the process of implantation, but every one is different and ovulation can happen really at anytime, there isnt a set date every month that ovulation will happen on some may ovulate sooner and others later....

she took the test and it's negative... i know we're not out of the woods yet, but is there any other helpful information we could use?

also: the blood was red, then a brownish color, when she checked it out, and she only bled from about 6:30pm to 9:45pm.

she's going to take a hot shower, because she says it helps her period come. if she does start bleeding during/right-after the shower, does this mean she will be on her period?

and if she doesn't, does it mean she's pregnant?

also, she just got her wisdom teeth out, and has been taking 2 to 3 hydrocodone a day, and she's been taking ammoxocillin (spelling?) antibiotics 3 times daily at 3:00pm, 6:00pm, and 9:00pm. i hear antibiotics can affect womens' periods. is this true, and could this be an important factor?
