OK, thank you for all posting and being so honest and non-judgemental about this subject. For years, I have turned to laxatives a few times a month to "keep regular," but my real motivation was to make my stomach feel flatter and to "jump start" my fitness plans.

It's the truth. And today, after having used them Thursday night, I'm still feeling worn out (drained) and wondering why I don't have the energy for my workout. And, yes, I was taking it a lot more than usual in the past couple of weeks in order to try and speed calories out of my body after a night when I ate more than I planned.

Until today when I researched a little, I had no idea that calories got processed anyways, unless you take radical amounts of the stuff, which I don't normally, for fear of the cramps and diarrhea.

The truth is that I have abused these things with no thought about the toll it takes on my body, rationalizing it away by telling myself that I'm better off not loaded with crap.

I also tend to be one of those people who can't take a lot of fiber in their diet right away, so I try more, get constipated, and then back right off again. I'll just take it s l o w l y and up the fruits, vegs, and water. I really do want to be fit and healthy, not model thin and sick.

Thanks from the bottom of my heart to all of you for being so transparent and honest about this embarassing subject. I'm going to throw away my pills, but it's going to be hard to throw away my enema kit!! Do periodic enemas count?

Thanks!!!

You might try Hoodia. I lost over 100 lbs on this. Currently I am 115. I found it worked quite well for about 8 months, after which it didn't work quite as well. Make sure you get the certified kind otherwise it might not actually be Hoodia. Good luck!
