Can pregnecy test be correct if you take it before you are due to your period? I had unprotected intercourse 5 days ago. My period is not often regular. There is possibility that I might ovulated then. I think that I may be pregnant. Should I test?

Pregnancy test may be positive a week after fertilization. That means about a week before you are due to your period. You can buy home urine test in a drugstore and check. But you should know that if it’s negative it doesn’t mean that you can be sure that you are not pregnant. I just want to warn you.

The most sensitive pregnancy tests claim that they are accurate from 10 days post ovulation, but if implantation doesn't occur until day 9 or 10 then it will be too early. It is best to wait until the day your period is due or if it is late
