Hi there, I am a woman who is 42 years old. I have a father who is 74 and he has to do prostate biopsy the other day. After this he couldn't urinate. Are these two things connected or not? Please tell me what you know. Thank you in advance for everything you say.

Hi there, you are right. Those two things are connected. It doesn't happen very often but this side effect of prostate biopsy can appear now and then. You can ask his doctor and he will tell you the same for sure. This is called urinary retention and older men are prone to this because of enlarged prostate and less effective bladder. That is all I know.
