can you have cramping before period, but possibly pregnant?

i have been on birth control since july, and my periods would start on sunday and end on saturday. since i have been on birthcontrol my boyfriend and i have been having unprotected sex however he pulls out before he comes. my last three periods have been very light or spotty and have started on either tuesday or wednesday and ending on friday or saturday. the last three months i have also been having most of the symptoms of being pregnant. can i be pregnant and still have a period?

26 day cycle, first day of last period 6th Feb, "did it" with the boyfriend 17th Feb....think im having some very faint cramping/tightening really low down, lower backache, tired and bloating. Not sure if I should be feeling any more symptoms at this stage?? No breast tenderness or bleeding etc.

The only thing is I suffer from Bowel disease and I could attribute all these symptoms to that?!

Pd due on 3rd March...shall I take a test then??

Wouldnt it be nice if we women didnt have to go through this? If we just KNEW for sure, I mean without a doubt if we were or not.....
I hate waiting around for a positive! I am having some of the same issues. I had an early period, just spotting last month, it lasted a couple of days, assuming it was just a shorter period I calculated my next menstrual, I had more spotting ten days before I should have gotten my next period. It lasted three days then stopped. I had an HCG done the first time I had spotting and it was negative. My breasts have been sore, I have been fatigued, but then again I am also under ALOT of stress, I am a college student taking 18 credit hours and it is midterm time. I dont know what to think either. Me and my future hubby wanted me to be preg. but when my first HCG test came back negative we were both saddened Sad

I would have only been a week or so along, if I AM I would have been four weeks on the 25th, I have had some mild cramping but that is it. Sad

About a week before I was due to start my period, started having menstral like cramping and other symptoms. I had finally convinced myself that if I took another pregnancy test (was trying for a baby) I'd be let down again. I took a test on the day I was due to start (thank you little voice) and I was pregnante! I still get period symptoms (8 months pg now) but no bleeding every month. My doctor said that was comman esp in the first three months.

Hi everyone,

Has anyone been testing negative for a month after the period due date and it turned out you were pregnant???

I went to the doc when I was a little less than 2 weeks late (3 weeks ago) and, just like at home using the HPT, my blood test was negative as well. At that time, I was also experiencing a little pain on one side, mostly when I was sitting up or snezzing, so the doctor sent me for an ultrasound. The u/s was good and the message I got was....no abnormalities. But I don't think she even considered me being pregnant, bc at that time I told her I had no symptoms. She even suggested to prescribe me provera to bring up my period (which was before even taking my blood or doing the ultrasound).

Now, 3 weeks later, I am experiencing period like pains, mostly near my belly botton and my lower back. My breast are much bigger and a tad tender. I also noticed some extra weight around my waist line. Besides that, I still have no other symptoms of pregnancy, but my period is still not here! Also, I was having quite a lot of whitish discharge for several days about a week ago, which I read is quite common during pregnancy.

My husband and I were not trying to get pregnant or anything, but I could have happened as were were not as careful a couple of times. I just really want to know what is going on and whether I have a very good doctor or a very bad one. I will test at home again if my period does not come within a couple of days......it sure feels like it's comming (although I never have cramps before my period, but AFTER it starts).
