Hi, my friend is suffering from breast cancer and she was operated several days ago. Doctor said that operation was pretty successful but he also said that he had to remove some lymph nodes from surrounding area in order to prevent further spreading of cancer. Also he said that he removed lymph nodes because in few of them were found cancer cells. I would like to know something more about it.
Hi, cancer is not dangerous just because of his local impact but also because he may be spread all over the body. Cancer may be spread by lymph or by blood. When surgeon finds cancer cells in local nymph nodes it is sign that cancer started to spread. In that case surgeon is removing suspected lymph nodes and chemotherapy would be needed too.
