Hi, I am 36 years old male and several members of my family are suffering from cancers. I guess that we have predisposition for this severe disease so I would like to know something more about vaccines against cancer. I have read an article about it and I hope it would be future solution in struggle against cancer.
Hi, cancer vaccines are imagined to work in two different ways against cancer. First one would be prevention in the way that immune system would be strengthen in order not to develop specific sort of cancer and second where vaccines would be used to stimulate immune response which would recognize cancer cells and destroy it. In this moment two vaccines are testing, one for cervix cancer and the other for liver cancer which may be caused by hepatitis B.
