HI! I am 23 years old and I have been chasing this girl for a year. We finally got together and have been dating for three months. She is interested in having sex but it seems that my “partner” wasn’t as he bailed out on me. I was so embarrassed. This has never happened to me before. I did have successful sexual activities before. I don’t know what to do. She didn’t laugh or anything, was actually supportive but somehow I just don’t feel like trying again.
Hi! It is normal that you feel discouraged. But from what you had said I see that this girl is understanding and that you can trust her. The most probable cause of your friend’s dysfunction is in your mind although you don’t realize it. If you can achieve an erection while masturbating, or wake up with one in the morning then you don’t have a phisiscal problem. Yes, these problems happen to many men, I had this happen off and on when I was around twenty-five and had been in a long term relationship. The fact that this girl is understanding and not running for the hills is a good thing. What else is going on in your life, my erection was harder to get or keep going when I was having financial troubles in life, worry and whatnot can be very detrimental to the male sex drive.
same thing happens to me. About six months ago i ended a long term relationship and never before have i had any sort of sexual problems. Everytime i go out with someone now, i find it very hard to keep erect...nevermind reaching an orgasm. which is very strange because i have no problems to masturbate at all...it only happens whenever im out with someone.
