I am 18 years old and still a virgin. I know that sounds strange these days, when 15 years old girls have sex. I know I must sound strange saying I cannot see any reason to loose my virginity. With my boyfriend, I have great relationship full of understanding and he told me he would wait when I am ready. I would like to hear if anyone could explain why some girls want to lose virginity so early.

I can tell you many reasons and causes why girls lose their virginity. First and the best reason are when they love boyfriend and feels sex will make their relationship even better. That is the only right and recommended cause. Unfortunately, that is rare to find these days. Nowadays, boyfriend will leave girl if she does not wants to have sex, which is sad to hear. Then, someone wants to do it because she is curious how it feels like to have a sex. There are medical causes when is recommended to lose virginity, when hymen is imperforated for passing of menstruation blood. Rape and accidence are rare, but anyway present causes why some girl could lose her virginity. I can tell you not to hurry with this; you can do it all your life. Sex will be much better when you and your body are ready, so make the only cause of your virginity loosing love to your boyfriend.

Honestly most girls do it because everyone around them is doing it but some girl with self-repect choose to wait for an appropriate age. I always wanted to be out of high school before I lost my verginity, so I didn't have a BF for 3 yrs, but then I met my now boyfriend, and after 4 months we started to get intimate. All Im trying to say is that there no rush when it comes to having sex, just make sure that when you do, It's with someone you trust and respects when your ready.

| i want to know if i have lose my virginity?my bf fingered me a lot of times, somtimes its very painful after?just recently we have a little penetration, he didnt really put his penis inside...i didnt bleed at all. so i want if am still a virgin or not? |

Its good that you don't feel pressured. I think one should only have sex with the person they are in love with and are attracted to also. By waiting you get to realize these feelings but also learn that your partner feels the same. 15 year old girls are pressured by their friends and boyfriends, often told that it's 'cool'. They also believe it will make them an adult or that it's rebellious. More often then not, I believe that they have something lacking in their lives; they crave the attention and believe sex=love. This is also a response to the emotinal changes due to hormonal changes that occur at that age.
By waiting till your ready (not till you hit a certain age!!) you choose to do this act from your heart not from impulse or pressure and it's much more special (even if it doesn't go Hollywood-style)!! In the real world, sex is not how they show on tv - not every woman is completely promiscuous or think sex is just about personal pleasure. There are those who don't mind one night stands and there are plenty who prefer closer intimacy. Personally, I think sex is too much of a social rite of passage and should be kept between two loving people and not the playground. |

i'm 17 and in a very similar sounding relationship. my boyfriend told me he would wait, and he held to it. sometimes it was obvious that he had to hold himself back, but he did it until i was ready.
prior to losing my virginity, i wasn't sure if it was a wise idea because many girls do give in to keep the guy around. but in reality, that's not how it works. if you don't give in, you're a prude, and if you do give in, you're a whore. girls don't realize that they have the right to respect, and if the guy they're with isn't supplying it, they don't have to put up with it. anyways, my point is girls give in because they think they have to. their friends are doing it, so something's wrong with them if they don't do it too. it's a status. that's all. |
