My 79 year old mother has had cdif for over a year and a half with 9 relapses. As soon as she goes off the vanco the cdif returns in a week or so. She has been on vanco and probiotics for 6 months at a time and still it returns. Should she try the IVIG as the dr. is suggesting as the next step. She would have to be admitted to the hospital.
