Spinal nerve compressions usually cause numbness and weakness and pain rather than shakiness. But it could result in clumsiness of the hands and in all limbs.
There are many other possible causes of shaky hands symptoms. They include “essential tremor” which is a disorder that rarely affects young people, it usually appears in people who are over 40. Muscle fibers are supposed to contract randomly bit when they start contracting and relaxing together, they cause these noticeable movements. Essential tremor usually affects hands but it can also cause head and voice shakiness.
Low blood sugar, a lot of coffee and tea and these factors combined can cause shakiness as well. Low blood sugar deprives muscles and nerves of fuel, so you experience shakiness. Certain medication like asthmatic, antidepressants and lithium can also cause it as well as stress and anxiety and tiredness.
Other, more serious causes could be due to Parkinson’s and overactive thyroid gland. However, in the Parkinson’s disease the shaking is worse when you are resting and not using the hand. Overactive thyroid causes many other symptoms with hand shakiness like palm sweating, sudden weight loss, etc
