my friend was allowed with her m/wife's position to check her cervix internally...she was very careful and washed her hands and wore gloves.

she said she felt a smooth surface, but also i guess behind that smooth surface it was very very hard and i guess spherical...it wasn't flat, there was a definite curve to it, although she couldn't tell loads as she couldn't feel alot of it.

she is about 34 weeks along with her first.

what was this? are you able to feel the head for yourself? or is the cervix just extremely hard?
