Hi, I have just come from hospital after I took there my pregnant sister. I am not married so I am not so familiar with this thing but anyway I am worrying and I hope my sister would be just fine. Before I leave hospital I asked doctor to tell me how is my sister and he told everything is all right and her cervix opened for 4 inches. This information didn't mean much to me so I would like to consult someone who is more familiar with this than me.

Hi, I have three sons and one daughter. According to my labors, when I was pregnant, I would like to tell you that you will be uncle soon. Also I would like to congratulate in the same time. Your sister is in the active phase of the first stage of labor which is signaled by the dilation of the cervix from 4 to 10 centimeters. Contractions would become longer and more frequent and the woman begins to feel the urge to push. It is literally beginning of labor and baby will be born very soon.
