Hello. I'm very worried about my mother because just recently she had one operation on her cervix.
Three days before the operation, her
gynecologist determined that she has some precancerous lesions on her cervix and that urgent operation is needed. Operation is called LEEP! Anyway, doctor was very satisfied with the operation because it went really well. She was released home soon after.
But today, she has noticed that she has some strange charcoal discharge and this scared her a lot. Is this something normal or she should talk with someone about it?
Hello. I'm very glad that the operation went well because there is great risk that the precancerous tissue could become cancerous and spread on other organs.
Leep procedure is one very safe method of removing this tissue and one wire with electricity in it is being used.
This electric power literally burns down the cancerous tissue and therefore destroy it!
The thing is that having a blackish or charcoal discharge after this procedure is considered quite normal and I can't believe that your doctor didn’t tell you this. Relax, all her symptoms will disappear in few days!
