Hi. I am a father who has a son that is nine years old. My son acts strangely, sometimes. He is defiant all the time, and he want listen to anything we say. And I don't think we have spoiled him. Sometimes he just goes quiet and goes to his room. What can we do to make him behave like a nice young boy?
Oppositional behavior is a normal part of development for kids that are couple years old or are adolescents. But extreme hostile behavior is antisocial and may cause social problems. Treatment of this disorder is consistent of individual psychotherapy and behavioral therapy. You should take him to see a school psychologist, and you will know what to do from there.
